Old-Fashioned Lettuce Salad recipe
A simple and classic salad recipe as easy to whip up as it is delicious. Serve as a starter to your next holiday meal and enjoy the simple beauty of wedged iceberg lettuce and creamy, savory dressing.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 medium head iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 c. chopped scallions
Directions:
In small bowl whisk together cream, sugar, vinegar and salt until blended thoroughly.
Break up iceberg lettuce in large salad bowl. Add chopped scallions.
Add cream mixture and toss to combine. Serve immediately garnished with additional scallions, if desired.
